MEET OUR DENTIST

Dr. Rafik Zaky

Dr. Rafik Zaky was born in Cairo, Egypt and raised in Canada. Growing up, he played water polo and guitar as hobbies. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at McMaster University, where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with honours. He then moved to Europe to study Dentistry at Trinity College, Dublin; pursuing a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Dental Science. After years of learning and practice in the Dublin Dental University Hospital, he returned to Canada and passed the National Dental Board Examinations, enabling him to register with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons. Dr. Rafik enjoyed working in multiple clinics, practicing all areas of dentistry at various levels after graduating. He then discovered his passion for oral surgery and implantology, and thus heavily pursued higher-level studies in those areas.

Dr Rafik completed basic and advanced training in Oral Implantology. He has a special interest in the manipulation of hard and soft tissues to achieve successful and esthetic results in-regards-to dental implants. Dr Rafik has placed over 1000+ dental implants and completed many cases with high success. He is currently a member of the Ontario Dental Association and Canadian Dental Association.

Dr. Rafik founded Sunray Dental Centre, in partnership with Rite-Bite denture clinic and maximus dental milling centre in Streetsville Mississauga. The facility is equipped with the most advanced technology to implement his passion for providing a high-quality level of dentistry to the community. Dr. Rafik’s hobbies include working out, playing guitar, watersports and travel. In his free time, he likes to hang out with his friends, read, lose badly in FIFA, and sing karaoke even worse.
